Can I make a reservation?

How many seats do you have?
Forty seats in total.
Do you have counter seats?
We have counter seats and table seats.
Is it comfortable to come alone?
We have counter seats, and because our gyoza contain no garlic they are easy to enjoy on your own after work.
Is it suitable for a get-together with friends?
Yes. The room has a neon sign and is built to recall a Shanghai or Hong Kong diner.
Do you have private rooms?
We do not have fully private rooms, but we do have semi-private table seats. Please mention it when you book.
Is the restaurant non-smoking?
The restaurant is entirely non-smoking.

Do you have courses with all-you-can-drink?
We have three, at ¥3,500, ¥4,000 and ¥4,500, all including tax.
How many courses are there?
Three: a students-only course with 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink (8 dishes, ¥3,500), and two courses with 120 minutes of all-you-can-drink (11 dishes ¥4,000 and 12 dishes ¥4,500). All prices include tax.
Is there a course for students?
Yes — a students-only course with 90 minutes of all-you-can-drink and eight dishes, ¥3,500 including tax. From two guests, for students only.
What is the minimum number for a course?
From two guests. The ¥4,000 and ¥4,500 courses can take between two and forty guests.
Can I book a course on the day?

What is your signature dish?
Our hand-wrapped gyoza, fried with a crisp lace skirt and full of juices. We make the skins ourselves.

Are the skins handmade?
Yes. We make the skins ourselves and fold each dumpling by hand.
Is there a place in Kusatsu serving gyoza without garlic?
None of our gyoza use garlic, so you can enjoy them on the way home from work or before meeting someone.
Do you use Baumkuchen Pork?
We use Kurao Pork Baumkuchen Pork, a brand pork from Shiga Prefecture, in the filling of our gyoza.

Yes — small (4 pieces), medium (8 pieces) and large (12 pieces).

How much are the lamb dumplings?

Which is more popular, fried or boiled?
Both are signatures, and the boiled dumplings are popular too. The fried ones have a crisp lace skirt; the boiled ones have a thicker, chewier skin.
What is Gyoza Mania?
A gyoza specialist awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2019, operating more than ten restaurants. They supervise our recipes.
Is there a connection to the Michelin Bib Gourmand?
The award is not ours. Our recipes are supervised by Gyoza Mania, a gyoza specialist that received a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2019.
Do you serve anything besides gyoza?
Besides the gyoza we have 29 items, covering small plates, stir-fries, fried dishes, rice dishes and desserts.
I want a Chinese place in Kusatsu with plenty of small plates.
We offer fourteen small plates, including yodare-dori, bang bang chicken, smashed cucumber with sesame and soft-centred century egg.
Any recommendation for a Chinese izakaya in Kusatsu?
We are a gyoza specialist and Chinese izakaya. Alongside the gyoza we serve stir-fries such as mapo tofu and shrimp with mayonnaise.
I heard the zha cai is free-flow.
Our house-made zha cai is served free-flow.
Is there anything to finish with?
Salted pork fried rice, lu rou fan, a small chicken ramen, zhajiang noodles and steamed rice.
Do you have lu rou fan?
Yes. Lu rou fan is ¥759, including tax.
Do you have mapo tofu or shrimp mayo?
Spicy Mapo Tofu is ¥800 and shrimp with mayonnaise is ¥979, both including tax.
Do you have dessert?
Almond tofu, pistachio ice cream and sesame balls (two pieces), each ¥429 including tax.
What is the cheapest item?
Sunflower seeds at ¥165, including tax.
Roughly how much does a meal cost?
Individual dishes start at ¥165 and courses start at ¥3,500, including tax.

Can I get takeout in Kusatsu?
Yes, we offer takeout from 17:00 to 23:00.

Are the takeout gyoza also garlic-free?
Yes. None of our gyoza use garlic.

There is a neon sign inside the restaurant. We are on the first floor of the Kusatsu Building.
What are your opening hours?
Monday to Friday 17:00–24:00, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 13:00–24:00 (last orders 23:00).
When is last order?
23:00.
Are you open on weekends and holidays?
Yes, we are open. The opening time varies by season, so please check our Google Business Profile for the current hours.
Do you have a regular closing day?
We have no fixed closing day, though we occasionally close on an irregular basis.
Is there anywhere near Kusatsu Station open late for a drink?
We are open until 24:00, with last orders at 23:00.
